The salty licorice comes from Matthijs, a traditional company in North Brabant in the southwest of the Netherlands.

What founder Walther Matthijs started there in 1920 on his own stove and with great enthusiasm quickly grew into an established company.
Today, more than 100 years after its founding, the company is still family-owned and produces with cutting edge technology, but according to the traditional recipes of the founder.

The licorice is pleasantly firm but not hard to bite and spicy-aromatic, with the sweetness and saltiness well balanced.

Ingredients: Sugar, glucose syrup, modified starch, ammonium chloride (ammonium chloride 7%), gelatine, liquorice extract, colouring: vegetable charcoal, natural flavouring, salt, coconut oil, glazing agent: caranuba wax.
